Im an artist at heart. I love the process of building and adopting the student mindset going into new things. To absorb every piece of information in hopes to one day become a master in the craft. I’ve done this in everything I’ve done (not the mastery part but the attempt!). Whether that be music, art, bartending, equipment hauling, martial arts, or Marvel Rivals(GM btw) I want to be the very best.
However… ‘In this economy’ - thats just not productive. I’ve found thats a quick way to become a Jack of all Trades but an expert of none. You know every programming language but you cant build a full app in any of them. You know 5 words in 10 languages but speak only 1. I have so many interests in life but in my short lifespan, I’ll have to put some years into one thing in order to be marketable. I’ll always have time to explore these other topics, but in my current professional career I’ve decided to focus on web development as that’s my current job and the field I have more business knowledge in. Specifically in the JavaScript ecosystem as that’s where most the work is. I have an interest in other languages - specifically Go - but I dont have the time to really explore it. I’m always open to picking things up, though!
